The IdF Virtual Gateway allows enterprises to use identity data existining in directories, databases, application sources and host based systems to be synchronized and virtualized.  This provides a single view and/or mulitiple views of the identity information supporting a corporate directory, enterprise identity management systme, or target application source.  Further, the IdF Virtual Gateway allows group and policy information to be used by the requesting application or resource.

A key feature of the IdF gateway is its ability to tranform identity credentials and associated policies from key host based systems such as mainframes, iSeries (AS/400) and legacy systemds to be virtualized into a holistic single identity view that can be used by modern standard's-based applications, directories and identity management architectures.
