The IdF Gateway is the connection point allowing identity enable applications and services such as Directory Services, Web Services, Role Management applications, GRC applications, Identity management systems and client applications to authenticate and communicate directly with host-based system natively and seemlessly. Further, the Gateway can serve as the access point for multiple identity enable applications and services from various software manufactures, providing a repetitive and standard method to integrate multiple identity driven applications and solutions with the host system.
Bi-Directional Synchronization ServicesThe IdF Gateway working in conjunction with IdF Advance Adapter synchronizes user profile, group, passwords, attributes and other associated identity events real-time or near real-time depending on your application needs. Transformation EngineThe IdF Gateway processes native calls sent from the IdF Advanced Adapter and transforms those calls to a standard LDAP event and routes appropriately. Likewise, when it receives a LDAP event from outside application it transforms that call to a native target systems command that is able to consumed and executed upon by the target mainframe, midrange or legacy system. VirtualizeA key feature of the IdF Gateway is its ability to virtualize identity and associated policy data contained in host based system into a single integrated view. Mediation ServicesThe IdF Gateway mediates identity and associated data to and from target/host systems to identity enabled applications. Integration with Other Identity Management ComponentsThe IdF gateway utilizes the LDAP v3 standard as the key join for its ability to integrate into identity based applications and infrastructures that adhere to the LDAP v3 standard. In addition, the Gateway uses the standards SPML, DSML, XML, SOAP and JAVA to enhance and extend its capabilities into rich array of applications.
